Bartenders are responsible for positive guest interaction while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, bartenders are expected to be attentive to the guests’ needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.Responsibilities may include:- Greet guests, take beverage orders from the servers or directly from guests. - Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered.- Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol - Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures- Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts- Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests, prepare inventory - Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate. - Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions.
Requirements/Responsibilities
- At least two years of experience at a fast paced dining establishment is preferred, however we will train the right candidate- Working knowledge of wine, beer, spirits and tending bar, with the ability to learn and follow recipes.- A warm and outgoing personality with a passion for food, wine, spirits and customer service- Must have a commitment to deliver a unique and memorable guest experience - Excellent people skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure- The ability to multi-task and work well in a high volume environment- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.- Fluent in English and proficiency in other languages is a plus- Must have valid food handler card
